29 Jun Bancaja Sagunto Foundation and Saggas renew their collaboration to promote cultural activities in the Camp de Morvedre
Both entities have renewed their agreement, for which Saggas will finance 4 exhibitions in the Glorieta hall during 2017 and 2018.
The president of the Bancaja Sagunto Foundation, Francisco Muñoz Antonino, and the Director of Saggas, Santiago Álvarez Fernández, signed the renewal of their collaboration agreement this morning whereby the Sagunto regasification plant will economically support the exhibition programme in the Glorieta hall during 2017 and 2018, as part of its social responsibility strategy.
In particular, the alliance will facilitate the organisation of four exhibitions, one of which, the Blasco Ibáñez exhibition, is currently underway. A Chronicle of the First World War is being organised to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Blasco Ibáñez and will be open to the public until the 26 August. The exhibition brings together 54 images selected from those published in the nine volumes of the History of the European War of 1914, written by Blasco Ibáñez between 1914 and 1919. The images, reproduced in high definition and filtered to recover their texture, luminosity, contrast and range, are accompanied by literary fragments of those same volumes which maintain the original writing and literary form of Blasco Ibáñez.
Along with this exhibition, from September to November 2017, there will be an exhibition project on contemporary still life, with funds from the Bancaja Foundation Collection; from December to March 2018, an anthological exhibition of Ximo Michavila and, finally, from April to July 2018 there will be a show about the Knights Templars.
“Renewing the collaboration with Saggas allows us, once again, to provide a varied and quality cultural offer to the inhabitants of Sagunto and the region,” said Muñoz Antonino.
For his part, Santiago Álvarez said that “for Saggas, it is a pleasure to renew our collaboration with the Bancaja Foundation and to contribute to enriching the cultural offer of Sagunto”.
