The ASECAM Forum for Environmental Sustainability is an initiative that was launched a year ago to be a place for debate on climate change that enables the generation of measures at the local level to mitigate it. As the president of ASECAM, Cristina Plumed, explained, “in addition to bringing environmental sustainability closer to the territory, to our companies, it is essential that they feel involved, whatever their size. If today we manage to make companies reflect on environmental sustainability and take it into account in their decision-making process, we will be satisfied with this achievement and we will be able to continue working on this transformation, which can only be produced from awareness ”.
For his part, Santiago Álvarez, president of the Committee of the ASECAM Forum for Environmental Sustainability, recalled that the forum “is a common place to discuss and propose actions in favor of our environment, which is where we carry out our activity, which allow us to have a commitment to it and to know its needs ”. The ASECAM Forum for Environmental Sustainability has three working groups focused on different topics: mobility, circular economy and absorptions.
