Saggas receives the EcoVadis platinum medal

The regasification plant in Sagunto has been awarded the Platinum Medal by EcoVadis. This is the highest rating given by the platform, which specializes in assessing the sustainability of companies.

Obtaining this medal means that Saggas is within the top 1% percentile of the best sustainability scores among all companies in its sector evaluated by EcoVadis. The company reliably evaluates the sustainability of businesses in four areas: environment, labor practices and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

In total, Saggas has scored 81 out of 100 points, demonstrating the high quality of its performance and commitment to sustainability. The company’s environmental area was particularly well-rated, where Saggas scored 90 points, highlighting the significant focus the plant has placed on this area since its inception. In 2009, Saggas became the first regasification plant in Spain to voluntarily join the European Union’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS), a commitment it has maintained uninterruptedly to this day. This commitment includes annually subjecting its environmental and energy management to an audit process and preparing an Environmental Declaration that is verified by accredited entities.
