Saggas has released the new edition of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report for the year 2022. This document represents an exercise in transparency, detailing the company’s performance in environmental, social, and corporate governance matters.
The Saggas CSR report highlights the company’s commitment to its local environment over the past year. In 2022, Saggas actively collaborated with 35 initiatives in the Sagunto area and the Camp de Morvedre region, covering five different areas: culture, sports, social action, environment, and local development.
Specifically, in the field of culture, Saggas supported well-established local initiatives such as the Cultura Clásica workshops, the Sagunt a Escena festival, and the theatrical production “Passió en Viu”. The company also maintained an agreement with the Fundación Bancaja to support the cultural programming of this institution in Sagunto.
Regarding the environment, under the agreement with the Generalitat Valenciana through the Center for Environmental Education of the Valencian Community (CEACV), the plant contributed to the improvement of a bird observation station located on the Pas de les Egües path in the Marjal dels Moros. This agreement, which expired last year, has been renewed for another four years.
In the field of sports, Saggas continued to support various public sports events held in Sagunto and contributed to the promotion of grassroots sports by sponsoring several local sports clubs.
Lastly, in social action, Saggas continued its collaboration with the Centre Solidari d’Aliments de Sagunt, of which it is a patron. This year, the plant made an additional contribution to help this NGO address the humanitarian crisis caused by the conflict in Ukraine. Additionally, under its agreement with PayaSOSpital, the plant facilitated two visits by this NGO to the pediatric ward of the Sagunto Hospital.
